Events & Schedule
Every week we run Guided Social Experiences — small-group, low-pressure activities where neurodivergent teens and young adults in Houston build something, try something new, and make friends while they’re at it. Here’s what’s coming up.

Weekly events for neurodivergent teens and young adults in Houston
Most weeks at The Abilities Lounge include three Guided Social Experiences — typically a Tuesday afternoon, a Thursday evening, and a Saturday afternoon. Each one is built around a hands-on activity, because having something to do together takes the pressure off having something to say. One week it’s building and racing a bristle bot; the next it’s shaping pretzels or decorating cookies with a local bakery.
Groups stay small on purpose. Our team is there to help conversations start, to make sure nobody is left on the edge of the room, and to keep the sensory room available for anyone who needs a quiet reset partway through. There’s no requirement to finish the project, stay the whole time, or take part in every step — showing up is enough.
Weekly events are included with a TAL membership, and members get priority registration when spots fill. Not a member yet? See what a visit looks like, browse birthday parties and private event hosting, or get in touch and we’ll save you a spot.

Please message or call us to reserve a spot. Group sizes are kept small so the space stays comfortable, and some experiences involve supplies we prepare ahead of time. Members get priority registration.
