TAL is not a therapy clinic. Instead, we focus on creating real-life opportunities to practice communication, friendship, problem-solving, and community participation through fun, structured activities. While we may offer workshops that may be led by licensed professionals, our primary mission is helping individuals connect, belong, and grow through meaningful social experiences.

Many neurodivergent individuals experience limited opportunities to develop friendships outside of school or therapy. Consistent social experiences help build communication skills, confidence, emotional regulation, independence, and a sense of belonging. TAL provides a supportive environment where these skills can naturally develop through shared activities and peer interaction.

Rather than teaching social skills only in a classroom setting, TAL creates opportunities to practice them during games, creative projects, workshops, conversations, and group activities. Participants learn by doing, asking questions, working together, solving problems, making choices, and building genuine friendships in a relaxed environment.

Absolutely. Many autistic and neurodivergent adults continue to seek opportunities for friendship, community involvement, recreation, and personal growth after graduating from school. TAL offers structured social experiences that encourage continued learning, confidence, and meaningful relationships throughout adulthood.

Families can explore our upcoming social events, workshops, memberships, and drop-in opportunities by visiting our website or contacting us directly. We're happy to answer questions, discuss whether TAL is a good fit, and help families find the best activities for their teen or young adult.
