Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information — including the cookies and advertising tools this website uses.

Last updated: July 1, 2026

TAL: The Abilities Lounge ("TAL," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit or interact with our site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways:

  • Information you give us. When you email us, register for a class or event, book a visit, or complete one of our forms, you may provide your name, contact details, and any information you choose to include. Our forms are hosted by JotForm; information you submit through them is processed by JotForm on our behalf.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our advertising and measurement tools may automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the links you click, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

Cookies and Google advertising

This website uses the Google tag (gtag.js) together with Google Ads to understand how our advertising performs and to measure conversions (for example, when an ad leads someone to contact us or register). These tools set cookies on your device and may collect a unique identifier so that activity can be attributed to an ad campaign.

These advertising cookies are off by default. They are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline (or make no choice), Google receives only limited, cookieless signals that are not used to identify you.

Google may use this information to provide and improve its advertising services, including remarketing and conversion tracking. Google's use of data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. To learn more about how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How we use information

  • To respond to your messages and requests.
  • To process registrations, bookings, and event sign-ups.
  • To measure and improve the performance of our advertising.
  • To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
  • To keep the site secure and operating properly.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site and our programs — such as our website host, JotForm (forms), and Google (advertising and measurement) — and only as needed for them to provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

  • Cookie consent. You can accept or decline our advertising cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your cookie choice at any time.
  • Ad personalization. You can control how Google personalizes ads at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalized advertising from participating companies at aboutads.info.
  • Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
  • Contact us. You can ask us about the information we hold about you using the details below.

Children's privacy

Our programs serve teens and young adults, and a parent, caregiver, or responsible adult is involved throughout. This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
